2015 NC Apprentice Contest
 The 31st Annual NC Electrical Apprentice Contest was held at the NC State Fair in Raleigh on October 21st.
Congratulations to Aaron Trip of Starr Electric for winning the contest.
We are proud that CECA Member Apprentices took 4 of the top 5 places.
Congratulations to Starr Electric for their Apprentice winning the Contest and for having another apprentice place in the top 5.
Congratulations also to Watson Electrical for having an Apprentice to place 3rd and for having 2 more Apprentices to place in the top 10.

Watson Electrical took 1st and 3rd
place at the 2015 ABC National Craft Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Babington, Charleston Division finished in 1st place and took home the gold medal.
Russell Johnson, Raleigh Division finished in 3rd place and took home the bronze
medal. Both competed in the Electrical: Commercial/Residential competition that
ended on March 6th. Both are also prior winners at the state and local levels.
Russell was the First Place winner at the 2014 North Carolina Department of Commerce
Electrical Apprenticeship Competition at the NC State Fair in Raleigh last fall,
which qualified him to compete at the ABC National Competition. Jesse finished
1st at the 2014 Charleston Electrical Contractors Association contest.
The National Craft Championships are composed of apprentices from all over the
country competing in fifteen different competitions representing 11 crafts over
two days. The competition covers both a written exam and a practical hands-on
performance test.
Congratulations to Jesse, Russell, their trainers, co-workers, managers, support-staff,
and supervisors who made this event a success!! Also a big thank you to Lloyd
Evans who worked with both Russell and Jesse preparing them for the contest!

Apprentice Contest Russell Johnson with Watson Electrical won the Contest and of the 30 apprentices
who competed, CECA Member Apprentices took 8 of the Top 10 Places.
