What is a Progressive Dinner? A delicious dinner opportunity to meet friends! Here's how it works...the evening begins with everyone meeting together for appetizers at an assigned home. Dinner follows at individual host houses that host groups of 8 or 10. Then all reunite for dessert which brings everyone back together. Each participant or couple brings an assigned dish; appetizer, entree accompaniment or dessert. These are prepared from an assigned recipe and to be taken to an assigned host house.

The 2006 Progressive Dinner is going to be Saturday May 6th at 6:00 with appetizers at the home of Jane & Roxie Towns, 1512 E. 8th St. At 7:45 there will be dinner at various host houses and at 9:00 dessert at the home of Michelle & Erik Dagenhart, 1925 Bay St.

Anyone who lives or owns a business in the Elizabeth Neighborhood is invited. ECA membership is not required. We are looking for host houses. If you can seat at least 8 people (including yourselves) for dinner, and are happy to let others handle the cooking, please consider being a host house. Contact Maya Packard for more information:

This year’s theme is Mexican in celebration of Cinco de Mayo (a day late). Guests will be assigned a menu item to deliver to their hosts’ house on the day of the dinner. To sign up to be a guest please contact. The week of the event you will receive your dinner house assignment and a recipe to prepare. Each recipe is fairly simple, but if you a wary of cooking, let us know, and we will try to make it easy for you. DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS APRIL 29th

The 2005 Elizabeth Home Tour was held Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9. Elizabeth homes and businesseswere featured in this year's tour plus the first "Art!Elizabeth" festival held in Independence Park.
