New development
group launching Union retail project
Newly
established commercial real estate firm Carolina Capital Realty
Inc. is drawing plans for a $2.7 million retail center in
Indian Trail, dubbed The Shoppes at Sun Valley Commons.
In an unusual
retail twist, Carolina Capital is making space available for
sale, says Chris Orr, a partner at Carolina Capital with Johnny
Lawrence.
Until recently,
Orr was a broker at Charlotte Commercial Properties. He decided
to join Lawrence, who is making his debut in Charlotte after
moving from South Florida.
Carolina
Capital is based in Charlotte.
The Shoppes
at Sun Valley Commons will be built on almost 25 acres at
Old Monroe and Wesley Chapel-Stouts roads. Space is available
for purchase for $195.00 per square foot. It may also be leased
for $19.50 per square foot.
Orr and
Lawrence hope top start construction by June 1 and complete
the project in the fall. An architect and general contractor
have not been selected. To
